**General Summary:**

Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.

+ Work as part of a large test and engineering systems organization which handles test automation infrastructure, test strategy, test plan development and execution & report management in Power and thermal test areas of Modem, Multimedia, AI and other technologies.

+ Role will include daily collaboration with other test engineers and power ecosystem as well as product engineers.

+ Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases on test platform

+ Test planning and execution of test cases for Power/Thermal SW and debugging of SW related issues/problems on all Qualcomm chipset for various HLOS and non-HLOS Subsystems (Android, Windows etc.).

+ Execution of functional/features tests for power/thermal SW and power/ thermal characterization/optimization

+ Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross functional teams.

+ Thermal and Power Testing of 4G/5G modem use cases using call box

+ Thermal mitigation algorithm validation and junction/skin temperature profiling

**Minimum Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 3+ years Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

+ Experience in any operating systems platform testing (Google Android, Windows phone etc)

+ Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

+ High level organization and results documentation

+ Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity

+ Communication and ability to partner with others

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

+ Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.

+ Thermal/Power test experience on any platform is a plus

+ Knowledge of Power and Thermal features is a plus

+ Experience in multi-media technologies (Audio, Video, Camera & etc.) is a plus

+ Knowledge/experience of embedded systems is a plus

+ Knowledge of SW product cycle is a plus

+ Development skills in Python, C/C++ is a plus

**Pay range:**

$100,000.00 - $150,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
