We are seeking a Program Coordinator to manage the overall day-to-day supervision, training, coaching & development of all evening & Saturday staff for our Beacon programs. Beacon programs are collaborative school-based community centers serving children and adults of all ages. It is designed to help people develop the skills and mindset they need to succeed in their educational and career settings in hope of becoming active participants and leaders in their community. As the Program Coordinator, you will support the Assistant Director and the Beacon Director in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with the school leadership, fellow site directors, agency colleagues, and all stakeholders that interface with all aspects as it relates to the program. The Program Coordinator will adhere to all policies, practices, and guidelines of QCH, and regulatory agencies for licensing and contractual requirements. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will support all outreach, recruitment, enrollment & retention of participants & families.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Adhere to all policies, practices, and guidelines of QCH, and regulatory agencies for licensing and contractual requirements

+ Assist in outreach & recruitment, enrollment, and retention of participants, families, and stakeholders

+ Maintain timely and consistent communication with supervisor, direct reports, school administration, program staff, funders, colleagues, and key stakeholders

+ Regularly check and respond to email requests, phone calls, and messages, with a quick turnaround time for time-sensitive matters

+ Design and lead in-house and external learning, recreational, arts, and developmental activities for youth

+ Lead or support planning, organization, and facilitation of special events such as culminating showcases, training and parent meetings as necessary

+ Lead and supervise all Beacon operations in the absence of the Beacon Director and the Beacon Assistant Director

+ Attend and potentially plan for and facilitate regular meetings

+ Ensure accurate input of all data and reporting in all agency and funder databases and submit reports in a timely manner; prepare and monitor regular reports for review

+ Respond appropriately to emergencies; ensuring proper protocols, documentation, follow up and also assess adjustment of protocols, procedures, and expectations when necessary

+ Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Associates Degree

+ Ability to relate to young people and staff as a positive adult role model

+ Demonstrated ability in program outreach and recruitment, performance-based contracting, and compliance with School Age Child Care licensing procedures

+ Must meet requirements for and maintain all New York State and New York City Department of Education clearances throughout the duration of employment

+ Must provide a medical clearance from a licensed New York State physician examination

+ Current CPR / First Aid / AED certifications.

+ Experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office 365

+ Familiar with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Classroom

+ The ability and the technology to work with participants both in-person and remotely.

+ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, reading, writing, and public speaking skills

PREFERRED skills/experience/qualities:

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ Bilingual Fluency in Spanish or other languages
