As the Head of Capital Markets, you will report directly to the COO with a dotted line to the Navient Treasurer and you will:
Own all aspects of the capital markets function within Earnest including but not limited to, forward flow whole loan negotiations and sales, and Bank Partners relationships
Partner closely with Navient Capital Markets Team and CFO in discussions related to our wholesale funding strategy that includes ABS, warehouse facilities, and hedging positions
Monitor market dynamics to opportunistically execute accretive transactions
Drive efficiency in the process to increase speed and remove costs
Partner with Credit Risk to understand the performance of assets
Partner with the Head of Lending to help shape the loan portfolio to maximize execution and identify investors for program expansion underserved by the market today
Able to build and maintain executive-level relationships at Investment Banks and Institutional Investors

Diversify Earnest’s funding model with the aim to lower the cost of funds, and improve execution throughout the economic cycle
About You:
Minimum of 15 years of total professional experience having led and executed ABS transactions, whole loan sales, and/or forward flow deals for 5+ Years
Posses a deep understanding of the capital markets
Existing network of relationships at Investment Banks, and Institutional Investors
Experience working in a highly regulated industry
Incredible attention to detail
Proven track record of success
Even better:
Experience at a Fintech Company leading the Capital Markets function
Experience with the student loan asset class as either a lender or buyer
