Protects Petco’s assets by analyzing e-commerce data, monitoring online trends, identifying e-com fraud, and resolving on-line investigations to minimize internal and external theft. After identification of suspicious activity & trends, make rule recommendations based on the data or complete to resolution. Provides input to customer service for resolution on customers online issues as needed

Job Responsibilities:
Create and maintain metrics for measuring the success of fraud detection/prevention strategies.
Use multiple investigative tools to identify online fraud trends in stores, that also affect in-store pickups and corporate office purchases. Once fraud has been identified, take all steps necessary to resolve case.
Identify potential stolen product offered via online channels (Ebay, Craigslist, Coupon sites) when possible and identify source for potential prosecution and/or recovery of product.
In concert with Sales Audit, IT and E-Commerce, focus on innovatively reducing fraudulent purchases in the online environments globally. Stay abreast of current trends in credit card theft, online threats and work with partners to create and implement processes to reduce the frequency of occurrence.
Implement comprehensive fraud detection rule-based strategies based on analysis of trends that balance fraud loss, customer service and brand impact.
Review, investigate, and track suspicious activity, analyze trends, communicate fraud/security threats to management, and provide recommendations to E-Com IT, PAL Team and multiple other departments for loss mitigation as needed.
Keep current on use of tools relating to E-Commerce sales including POS fraud detection tools specific to e-com, sales audit tools, banking software, Polaris, video software, identity software systems and any future systems identified.
Educate and partner with field Loss Prevention (LP) leadership and assist with the LP program as it relates to any online/multi-channel fraud detection.
Job Requirements:
The incumbent must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar time critical, resource driven, independent work environment.
At a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with related experience in required.
A four-year college degree with emphasis in Criminal Justice, Loss Prevention or Accounting with 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
Proficiency with all Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word is required.
Incumbent must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in the English language.
Due to the sensitive nature of the matters handled by the department, demonstrated ability to safeguard sensitive or confidential information is also necessary.
