Talascend is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a contract opportunity in Plano, TX
SUMMARY:
The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
Establish and document business processes.
Set up project and work breakdown structures.
Track project budgets and expenditures monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
SKILLS:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel; Enterprise Application experience a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field required.
2-4 years experience required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
Common Essentials/Duties and Responsibilities:
Mining survey data utilizing Alteryx to provide analysis reports for use throughout the business, including, but not limited to Merchandising Install Progress Report, Merchandising Compliance Report, Repair and Maintenance Report
Regularly examine data reports to identify and resolve issues
Accurately collecting and interpreting data for diverse business reports
Maintaining open communication channels with Program Managers and project work stream leaders, promptly addressing any emerging issues
Assist Program Managers in survey creation and dispatch
Handling ad hoc projects, such as work order management within SRMS (onePortal), integrate Break Fix or Display Maintenance Reports provided by third-party Vendor Partners, and fulfilling dashboard creation requests from the Brand Execution Management Team
Background/Experience:
Intermediate to Power User of Alteryx and SQL
Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven visualizations in Tableau
Excellent critical thinking skills to help make decisions and solve business problems
Time management and prioritization skills to meet project deadlines
Ability to pay close attention to small details that may impact results
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to internal and external audience
General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow
CMMS system and Survey application management experience
Bachelor's Degree and/or 3 to 5 years experience in Retail Facility Maintenance, Merchandising, or Retail Operations preferred.
Prior experience with project management/coordination required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and expert level in Excel
