About this Position
Responsible to lead a team of Data Analysts and Project Managers working with key end-users and I.T. staff to design, develop, test and deploy applications using the Systems Development Life Cycle framework. Provides direct supervision for team members responsible for design, development and ongoing generation of surveillance reports for both the Securities and Insurance Surveillance Departments. Creates complex reports and processes for multiple departments and senior management. Provides ongoing ARTS development and administrative support to company-wide user areas. Updates Compliance documents on POL and PRI Intranet. Provides direct supervision of BISO for the Compliance Division.
Candidates must live in Metro Atlanta Area
Hybrid role: 2 days in our Duluth GA Office.
Salary: Up to $150K
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Job Duties:
* Management of the Compliance Data Analysts and Project Management team, including but not limited to: goal-setting, training and development and performance reviews of staff.
* Run Project management for multiple areas which will require communication with both external and internal stakeholders, collaborating with internal departments on compliance related projects and surveillance reports, programming issues and research necessary to resolve issues identified, troubleshooting issues related to reports and provides support to the team member as needed.
* Oversight of major projects through Systems Development Life Cycle, which requires working with key end-users and the I.T. staff to develop applications using the Systems Development Life Cycle framework, scheduling and facilitating fact gathering meetings, documenting business requirements using a waterfall approach, communicating requirements to the programming staff, resolving and tracking spec revisions, coordinating and thoroughly regression testing all components, deploying project and notify all affected parties.
* Ad-Hoc and scheduled reporting to multiple areas of the business, including Securities Compliance, Life Compliance, Field Supervision and Canada. Requires a working knowledge of SQL, Access, Power BI and Excel.
* Providing ongoing administrative support for all areas of the internal ARTs system
* Management of distribution of field bulletins for US and Canada
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Project management and/or programming experience that includes the full Systems Development Life Cycle.
* Demonstrated technical and analytical abilities using relational databases and one or more reporting tools (Access, PowerBI, Powerbuilder, etc)
* Ability to communicate with all levels; clerical to senior management, I.T. programming staff.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate logical solutions with limited software tools.
* Excellent SQL skills, including native SQL (non-GUI) against highly normalized relational databases.
* Database design and performance experience.
* Prefer programming experience and/or formal training.
* Organization skills, flexibility, and ability to work on numerous projects concurrently.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft products or equivalent
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or Business Administration
