Patient Service Rep Position Summary
The primary function is to provide secretarial support for the facility (coordinate communications, register and greet patients and maintain financial information) under the direct supervision of the office supervisor.
The primary role of the transportation coordinator will be to arrange transportation for those patients in need at The Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute at Peninsula Regional, The Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute Ocean Pines, and the Allen Cancer Center. The position requires working with the social work team, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and any other staff in all locations. In addition, the coordinator will work with companies such as LifeStar, the local health departments, and the American Cancer Society to ensure our patients are given all options for transportation to assist them with completing their cancer treatment. While this role covers transportation across the entire cancer program, the primary location is Peninsula Regional.
Patient Service Rep Position Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Medical terminology and/or medical secretarial degree (2years) preferred.
Experience Minimum of three (3) years secretarial experience required.
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office computer programs, practice management systems and spreadsheets preferred
Patient Service Rep Work Schedule Monday through Friday
