About the Nicolai Team
We are a fast-paced manufacturing facility and distribution center. We employ approximately 120 diverse and talented associates in warehousing, production planning, assembly, finishing and packaging of high-quality lighting fixtures and house parts.
Overview of the Order Management Lead role
You will be responsible for overseeing end to end order management processes, to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will have the opportunity to supervise a small customer service expeditor team. You will work closely with various departments to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through order accuracy and effective communication.
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain order tracking systems.
Address and respond to customer service inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Efficiently enter and retrieve data from multiple order management systems and Power BI.
Instruct, coordinate, and supervise associates engaged in customer service-related functions, communicate goals and track progress daily.
Develop and audit processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and the highest level of service.
Follow up on orders and shipments, communicating updates in a timely manner.
Maintain a safety-oriented work culture.
Criteria 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer service role
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered) required.
Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed with a keen eye for accuracy.
MRP systems experience is a plus, moderate Microsoft Dynamics 2009 skillset (ERP) preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to write succinct messages and communicate clearly.
1 to 3 years of experience working with inventory/Supply Chain
Moderate levels of analytical and critical thinking with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Strong time management and organizational skills required.
