Head of Systems Integration - Verification and Validation SkyGrid, a Boeing, SparkCognition company, is powering the next generation of aviation. We are solving the industry’s biggest challenge integrating unmanned aircraft into complex, rapidly changing airspace. SkyGrid is defining a future where highly automated aircraft operate without the need for onboard pilots. We develop the safety-of-life approved flight operations management services for such aircraft to ensure operations of all participants in the air transportation system are safe and secure.
The SkyGrid team is looking for a Head of Systems Integration to own the planning and execution for all aspects of the system of systems verification, validation, and integration. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the aerospace industry and possess the ability to effectively communicate complicated ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This will be critical as this technical leader will work across several teams both internally and externally.
Performance Objectives: Has updated the Verification and Validation Plan
Has oversight of the validation activities and verification planning
Has oversight of the development of validation procedures and reports
Has led the identification of the test setup, instrumentation, and environment for black-box system
Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Verification and Validation engineers.
Develop and implement strategies for system simulation, integration, verification, and validation ensuring alignment to the Jupiter programs objectives.
Oversee the planning and execution of system integration, verification, and validation.
Oversee the design of the test setup, instrumentation, environment, and coverage for black-box systems.
Ensure implementation of manual and automated testing approaches and methodologies.
Collaborate with customers in support of system of system integration and testing
Develop the master plan for verification and validation activities including simulation-based testing to validate and verify requirements.
Ensure documentation of test plans, procedures, simulation, and results are captured.
Handle the verification testing of multiple releases.
Ensure that the testing process aligns with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance practices
Establish test planning working groups to manage the readiness for testing.
Conduct the Test Readiness Review (TRR) and Formal Qualification Review (FQR) events
Qualifications: 10+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry, 3+ years as technical team leader
Experience in validation roles within aerospace-related industry
Experience in planning and conducting integration testing to ensure seamless collaboration
Experience with ARP 4754A
Relevant experience with the architectural aspects of a simulation environment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on certified aerospace programs including DO-178C and DO-254
Understanding of Do178C and Do331
Advanced Engineering degree (Masters) from an accredited institution
