Software Engineer - AI/MLThe Software Engineer - AI/ML at SHI International collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and maintain software solutions, applying diverse programming languages and technologies. This role involves developing new features, resolving complex technical issues, maintaining high-quality code, and supporting CI/CD processes to ensure code stability and security. The engineer also creates technical documentation, adapts to dynamic environments, and works independently or collaboratively to drive software development and integration efforts. Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services highly preferred - IntermediateProficiency in using Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks for database interaction, including tasks such as mapping objects to database tables, managing database schemas, and performing CRUD operations efficiently - IntermediateProficiency in using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, including tasks such as writing automated test cases before code implementation, ensuring code quality, and facilitating continuous integration and deployment - IntermediateOther RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or relevant work experience required5+ Years of experience with the following programming languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript5+ years of experience writing high-performance, thread-safe code that allows for serving requests in sub-millisecond times5+ years of experience debugging difficult live site problems and building automation to run a high-scale service distributed system.5+ years of experience developing applications in Azure or AWS.7+ years of professional software engineering experienceAdvanced AWS or Azure Certification preferredAbility to travel 10%The estimated annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
