Job Description

Software EngineerAustin, Texas, United StatesAtlantic Talent is proud to be partnered with a pioneering company at the forefront of automotive technology. Our client specialises in developing advanced software solutions that power autonomous driving, connected car technology, and smart mobility solutions.Please note that our client is not able to offer sponsorship with this role so applications will only be considered for those with full US working rights.Role Responsibilities:This is a hybrid role, and will require 2 days on site each week.Design, develop, code, and test software systems using Java/J2EE and related technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver software that meets the needs of the client's customers and partners.Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.Write unit and integration tests for your code, working closely with the QA team to ensure software meets the highest standards of quality.Stay updated with the latest trends in the automotive and software industry. Implement innovative ideas to improve our products and processes.Essential Skills and Qualifications:A minimum of 4 years' experience working in a software engineering environment, ideally with a focus on developing code using Java/J2EE.Bachelor's and MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT or Engineering field.Proficiency in Java/J2EE and related technologies including JavaScript, Hibernate, Log4J, and Eclipse.Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.Prior experience in an automotive environment is desirable but not essential.Benefits:Hybrid working environment.Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance plans, as well as life and disability insurance coverage.401K retirement plan with generous employer match.Professional development and training opportunities.The necessary technology, including a laptop and additional equipment, to create an optimal home working environment.
