Sr. IT Systems Administrator

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Act as an innovative subject matter expert to guide the development of technical solutions for ACB. P rovide system administration of the ACB Network, key infrastructure and application systems and oversee installation, performance, monitoring, patching, backup, and restore activities. One key responsibility for this role is to build a strong working relationship with our Operations Team and engage in a hands-on manner to solve problems alongside the team. Working with the IT leadership team, the Senior Systems Administrator assists with creation of best practices, processes and policies that align with ACB's strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for provisioning, installing/configuring, operating, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
Ensure that Service Level Agreements/Operating Level Agreements are met or exceeded
Understand and adhere to industry best practices related to system administration
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and ensure timely communications of relative information
Conduct research and development to facilitate continuous improvement and innovation
Optimize and maintain systems that support infrastructure, Microsoft Windows and application systems that support Finance, video conferencing, and other productions systems
Monitor and maintain network SAN and NAS storage systems
Work with others to maintain our existing and new platforms ensuring successful implementation and operations targeting 100% uptime
Configure, tailor, and monitor existing and new backups ensuring 100% recovery from any situation in a timely manner
Work with the security team to ensure data and systems are protected
Maintain Network equipment such as switches, firewalls, wireless access points
Manage and improve asset and end point management in accordance with their corresponding policies
Mentor and guide other IT support staff
Review and provide impact analysis for upcoming patches to determine affect to the production environment and then implement accordingly
Adhere to change management policies
Experience: Minimum Five (5) years of experience working as a systems administrator. Experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, SQL, DRaaS, Veeam, VMware, firewalls, networking, and administrating video conferencing technologies preferred.

High Level Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS
Working knowledge of DRaaS, Veeam, VMWare, Windows Server operating systems installation, maintenance, support, SQL Server and IIS
Moderate to high level knowledge of Networking
Ability to understand and use APIs
Scripting competency is highly valued
Demonstrates ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to coach the team members on best practices and security and compliance processes

Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Business understanding and ability to drive for results
The ability and willingness to work off hours to implement system maintenance avoiding business impact, generally no more than 12 hours a month
