****Job Description****
Frito-Lay North America, a Division of PepsiCo, is seeking qualified Engineers to execute capital projects across 35 manufacturing locations and 170 Distribution and Traffic Centers throughout the US and Canada. These projects are essential to support both top line and bottom line company growth and may include but are not limited to the following:
* Warehouse Automation Design and Execute Automation Commercialization projects that create efficiency and drive operating savings. This effort includes warehouse automation projects that may drive, waste reduction, equipment reliability, or overall operational efficiency with the warehouse environment.
* Capacity Design and Execute Warehouse Capacity projects that enable growth and deliver needed capacity at key locations. This effort includes design, building construction, installation of a variety of material handling and possibly move agenda solutions to increase capacity, enable growth and potentially drive cost avoidance.
A Project Manager is responsible for managing and developing the scope, cost and schedule for capital projects (facility construction/expansion, facility infrastructure additions (utilities), associate support facilities and installation of MHE Equipment). This includes:

* Define Service and Distribution and unit operation requirements for project scopes.
* Develop and Execute work plans.
* Lead cross-functional teams of colleagues and outside resources including vendors and consultants.
* Apply engineering principles including modeling and simulation with external vendors and consultants.
* Develop equipment installation and start-up plans.
* Develop capital requirements, establish operational metrics that define total productive performance, define development and commercialization schedules.
* Manage budget, schedule attainment and achievement of project performance metrics.
* Provide timely and accurate financial forecasting of project cash flow and operational expenses.
* Balance multiple project deliverables and competing priorities.
* Manage the vendor qualification, bidding and evaluations process.
* Create capital appropriation requests (CARs) and purchase orders to vendors.

* 5+ years relevant experience
* Strong analytical and computer skills
* Proven ability to multi-task
* Established record of project definition and execution
* Demonstrated Technical curiosity
* Innovative out of the box thinking skills to drive transformational change
* Exposure to Whse/Distribution Center Operations
* Maintenance responsibilities/experience a plus
* Exposure to various manufacturing and material handling automation technologies and controls

* Detailed understanding of the business justification process for productivity
* Understanding of Lean Supply Chain Principals
* Understanding of Warehouse/Distribution Center Operations
* Knowledge of Material Handling Automation & Technologies
* Strong Communication/Presentations Skills
