The Social Media Moderation Specialist position exists to maintain, cultivate, and assist Relationship Services in responding to and engaging with Focus on the Family’s social media audience. This position will use social media response expertise to guide Relationship Services on best response practices for all social media platforms and will procure social media content calendars from content producers, assisting in the development of social media response strategies, and providing quality assurance of responses. This position will stay current on best response practices in social media and assist Relationship Services Management with trending research and response development across Focus on the Family’s social media channels.
Is responsible for procuring and reviewing content schedules from stakeholders and crafting responses for upcoming media initiatives Assists in the monitoring of incoming social media engagement requiring response, reassigning to the appropriate response team, as necessary Provides guidance to the social media response team when crafting non-standardized and/or difficult responses
Works closely with the Training Support Team to develop training and refreshers for the social media response team
Collaborates with the Process Team to create procedures for dynamic social media responses
Participates in on-going training and education around social media best response practices
Monitors social media responses to ensure the social media response team is generating engagement in the various social media channels Determines appropriate response metrics that aligns with industry standards and measures the social media response team’s duties against such metrics Ensures the social media response team is meeting desired response outcomes as identified by the social media team Establishes quality assurance measures for the social media response team and evaluates the social media team’s individual responses; Provides feedback that aligns with established quality assurance measures Other Duties/Responsibilities: Must be available outside normal business hours to moderate and respond to messages on Focus on the Family’s various social media channels
May have the option to work from home on department-designated hybrid days
Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Experience:
2-4 years of experience in social media engagement and response
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of popular social media platforms and content
K nowledge and experience with social media responses
Skills, Abilities and Special Talents/Gifts:
Writing skills, especially those used in social media dialogue
Clear and effective writing and editing skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to handle organizing, executing, and analyzing multiple marketing activities and social media campaigns at once in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to acquire new technical knowledge with ease
Ability to work well in a team, to shine as an individual, and to maintain a sense of humor
Ability to analyze data based on logical thought processes

Pay Range: $24.00 to $27.50/hr
