About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Commercial Operations and Global Projects to play a pivotal role in driving the company's revenue and profitability. This executive will be responsible for leading revenue pursuits, including bids, proposals, and soliciting funding sources, as well as driving value and cost development efforts. The successful candidate will engage with global projects, interact with application engineering professionals, and be a key figure in advancing prospects through the sales process. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, technical proficiency in the company's technology, and a talent for understanding and translating customer needs are essential. The role demands a collaborative, self-starting individual with a BS degree in a relevant field and 5 to 8 years of experience in pursuits, estimating, and project controls in the transmission sector.The ideal candidate for this role at the company will be a strong communicator, a proven leader, and tech-savvy with a detailed understanding of the company's technology. They should be adept at grasping customer needs and translating them for both product and technical teams, as well as skilled in estimation and budget management. Collaboration, a self-starting attitude, and the ability to travel as needed are also key attributes. Basic qualifications include a BS degree in a related field and 5 to 8 years of experience in the transmission sector, with a strong command of business software. Preferred qualifications include a Six Sigma Black Belt and direct experience in developing complex pursuits, bids, and proposals, particularly in the utility space.
