GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter will be responsible for the full process of the recruitment cycle for open positions within our client's organization. They will develop recruiting strategies to attract and retain high-quality applicants to our client's organization. The Recruiter will also provide expertise on the compensation structure and employee benefits package to ensure competitiveness in the market.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop strategies to recruit and retain high-quality candidates within the client's business
Build applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, local community services, job boards, social media, and other Internet job posting sites
Utilize job posting site added features, such as Indeed’s resume database, to source more qualified candidates for open positions
Collaborate closely with management to determine the staffing needs within each department to develop staffing plans throughout the business
Recruit for all open positions within the client's business based on approved requisitions as directed by the Director of HR
Proactively recruit candidates to assist in transitioning from a temporary staffing model to a permanent employee model, including screening resumes, phone interviewing applicants, and building a candidate database
Submit qualified candidates to hiring managers upon completion of the phone screen
Schedule interviews, arrange logistics, and communicate necessary information to applicants
Make verbal offers to selected candidates under the guidance of the hiring managers
Provide candidate details to the HR Generalist for compiling offer letters
Offer expertise on the client's compensation structure and employee benefits package to ensure competitiveness in the market
Assist with the conversion of temporary staff to the client's employees
Support other projects and tasks as requested by management within the scope and abilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in business or human resources or comparable work experience in Recruiting
3+ years of experience in a recruiting role for a manufacturing facility; food manufacturing preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently
Detail-oriented, results-driven, strong time management skills
Strong understanding of confidentiality and the ability to maintain confidential information within the HR department
Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide input on developing new SOPs for recruitment and staffing needs
Knowledge of and adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the client
