I E Technician

Support the customer’s computer data communications systems

Provide design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks

Plan and implement network upgrades

Analyze and organize corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling

Support installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices

Respond to and resolve incidents and communicate with the team

Complete assigned tasks within SLOs/SLAs

Draft and implement standard network change requests

Support Tier III network engineers with incident management and projects, including site surveys, TEMS, and coordinating and installing new equipment

Update topology drawings, maintain accurate asset management records, and conduct inventory

Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades

Apply Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and Foundry OS upgrades

Perform up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs

Requirements Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph

10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education

Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years, or HS diploma and 10 years

Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2

Available to travel up to 20% of the time

Available to work flexible hours, including weekend support

Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP)

Layer 2 network experience (configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, thin and thick configs)

Layer 3 network experience (subnetting; OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE)

Experience with Visio

Familiarity with ServiceNow and Confluence

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
