Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift (Full Builds, Clean Facility, Strong Benefits)Join a skilled, tight-knit team assembling burn-in test equipment used in high-performance industrial applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, building full units from start to finish, and working in a clean, organized environment with strong long-term benefits.What You'll DoPerform full mechanical builds of burn-in test equipment (not assembly-line work).Assemble units using power tools and hand tools: wrenches, ratchets, torque tools, drills, rivet guns.Read and interpret blueprints to complete accurate assemblies.Perform soldering on copper piping and assist with brazing tasks.Work with both small components and large industrial-sized units.Stand for most of the day and lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with a hoist.Maneuver in awkward positions (kneeling, climbing on large units) to complete builds.What Makes You a Great Fit1–2 years of mechanical assembly experience.Comfortable working with small and large parts.Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently.Proficient with wrenches, screwdrivers, and pneumatic tools.Experience building products from start to finish.Preferred:Experience reading blueprints or schematics.Experience in brazing or copper soldering.Experience with industrial-sized equipment.Why You'll Want This JobHealth, dental, and vision insuranceHSA with company matchDependent care FSALife and disability insurancePaid time off + paid holidaysTuition reimbursement401(k) with company matchProfit-sharing bonusEmployee assistance program & wellness resourcesThis is a role where your mechanical skill is valued, your work is visible, and your growth is supported.Work EnvironmentExtremely clean, organized facility.Small team of ~5 people with one-on-one training from a lead.Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.Work on large units (up to the size of an ice-fishing house), requiring occasional climbing or kneeling.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
