Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team and perform mechanical assembly of water filtration machines, including both sub-assembly and full machine assembly. This role involves cutting and gluing PVC pipes, deburring pipes, assembling pumps, fastening parts, installing instruments and pipes, using measuring devices such as tape measures for accurate lengths, operating saws to cut materials, utilizing both hand and power tools for assembly, working from blueprints, and moving products/materials to and from machines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly of water filtration machines, including sub-assembly and full machines.
• Cut and glue PVC pipes, and deburr pipes.
• Assemble pumps and fasten parts.
• Install instruments and pipes.
• Use measuring devices, including tape measures, for accurate lengths.
• Operate saws to cut materials.
• Utilize both hand and power tools for assembly.
• Work from blueprints.
• Move products/materials to and from machines.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics.
• Competence with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools.
• Mechanical testing and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or construction-type work.
• 1+ year of experience using tape measures.
• Experience with PVC pipe is a nice-to-have.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
