Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Hint Water is seeking a full-time Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance & Accounting team. As a vital member of the Finance department, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create annual plans and support finance leadership in financial modeling and scenario planning. The ideal candidate is highly analytical with experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry.

Reporting to the VP of Finance & Accounting, this role requires visits to our San Francisco office 1-4 times per month, or more frequently as needed. Therefore, only candidates living within a reasonable commuting distance in the Bay Area will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare monthly budget versus actual reports for all departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, and Executive Management.

Lead monthly budget meetings for all departments.  This will include review and analysis of gross revenue, promotional spend, and operating expenses for all departments.

Work with Finance leadership & department heads to develop solutions to ensure all departments remain on track to annual plans.

Prepare weekly Sales Updates for the Executive Team, providing detailed analysis for all sales channels and customers and how they are tracking versus plan.

Assist VP, Finance & Accounting with month-end reporting for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to prepare monthly accruals for Digital Marketing, Sales Marketing, and Brand Marketing spend.  Maintain and update monthly accrual for employee bonuses.

Support the development of the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes in alignment with key functional team members.

Prepare clear, concise, insightful, and comprehensive analyses of scenarios that support and influence the strategic direction and tactical decisions for the business.

Continuously improve planning, forecasting, reporting processes, and systems, including data integrity and automation where possible.

Provide additional support to the Finance & Accounting team with month-end close tasks.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of financial or business planning, forecasting and analysis experience

Experience/understanding of Retail/CPG business preferred, but not required

Experience with understanding P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow models

Demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of data, including collection, consolidation, analysis, and synthesizing into a cohesive framework

Exceptionally strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.  Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

Experience with NetSuite a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

Base salary of $120,000 - $135,000 based on location and experience.  Actual salary offered may vary based on location and work experience.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
