The UGV Team is seeking talented electrical engineering technicalleadership in a System Architecture group. This is an individualcontributor design engineering position. The ideal candidate hascore competencies in several functional areas of responsibilityand system design. The position requires the candidate to lead &drive system technical roadmaps. Experience is expected in analyzingkey systems engineering architectural and implementation trade-offs;design of high performance, cost-effective, high quality products.The position requires strong communication, persuasion, and negotiationskills.
Key Qualifications MS/PhD EE/CS w/5 years overall experience needed developing embedded system and robotics
Must have hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging,functional verification, and manufacturing support
Must have strong experience in ROS.
Must have strong understanding in network programming
Strong programming skill in C++ w/ in depth understanding in OOD/
Description Propose, challenge and influence x-functional roadmaps work with theUGV team on HW/SW robotics technologies. Keep current with technologytrends & vendor roadmaps on the robotics sensors, technologies andarchitectus. Guide early system layout studies Work with MechanicalEngineering and Industrial Design. Assess and guide product systemintegration feasibility, feature & implementation trade-offs of earlylayout studies. Utilize schematic and layout tools such as Cadence Concept & Allegro.Predict & prepare for future product system integration & interconnect needs.
