Rate: $45 - $55 per hour
About the Company:
Our client is a leading medical devices company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, dedicated to developing cutting-edge products for use within surgical processes.
They are currently seeking two Hardware Design Engineers to bolster their R&D capability onsite in Indianapolis, IN.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define product specifications and integrate hardware designs into overall system architecture.
Design and develop electronic circuitry for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Conduct schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout design using industry-standard tools.
Perform thorough analysis, simulation, and testing of hardware designs to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory submissions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in electronic hardware/PCB design, preferably in the medical devices industry.
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design using tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI considerations.
Experience with medical device product development and knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate with stakeholders.
