The Manager of Perioperative Central Sterile Services will be part of one of the largest health care systems in the Seattle - Tacoma Area. This facility is known for its general surgery programs in heart care, orthopedics, as well as programs for rehabilitation, neurology and women's health.
The Manager of Sterile Processing will lead the Central Services Department, overseeing all aspects of sterile processing and the perioperative supply chain to support over 8 OR suites. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding the Sterile Processing team, ensuring efficient and compliant decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies.
The Sterile Processing Manager will develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance, fostering a collaborative environment for seamless communication with the perioperative team. Additionally, the SPD Manager will optimize work flow design, maintain and improve quality control systems, oversee instrument inventory, and manage tracking and distribution processes. This role involves hiring, performance evaluation, staff development, and disciplinary actions. The Sterile Processing Manager will also handle the departmental budget and collaborate with counterparts at other campuses to ensure customer and patient satisfaction while maintaining high-quality standards.
