Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Finance, this individual will be responsible for leading the FP&A functions and will be a key business partner that plays an integral role in providing both tactical and strategic leadership for activities concerning actuals reporting and planning, cash flow forecasting and strategic analysis. This high visibility role will interact closely with leaders across both finance and accounting and the business by managing the FP&A processes and tools, month-end activities, internal management reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis. This individual will need to be adaptable; they will need to take ownership in their work, and they need to be comfortable being held accountable for their produced results.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Lead monthly forecasting process, annual operating plan & strategic long-term plan for the business unit, including target analysis, development of guidelines for the business & creating financial templates.
Communicate, collaborate, and present financial insights, risks, and opportunities as well as recommendations clearly and effectively.
Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls, as needed, to support external financial reporting.
Partner with functional leaders and senior management to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency, portfolio diversification and expansion.
Support broader integration activities, including the global adoption and implementation of world-wide accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and present financial presentations for senior leaders, using executive-level framing to shape key messages.
Manage team of finance/accounting professionals, providing both coaching and mentorship in addition to identifying development opportunities within the team.
Other ad-hoc analyses and special projects, as needed, including strategic finance analytics, scenario analysis, financial modeling, savings tracking, etc.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or related degree with equivalent experience.
CPA or CMA a plus.
8+ years of Experience in a similar role within finance or accounting for a manufacturing company.
Demonstrated knowledge of the financial close process, accounting policy and GAAP.
Thorough understanding of the financial statements with an ability to analyze, interpret & communicate.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information related to business updates / org changes.
Comfortable with having to adjust to changes in work environment, working under pressure with a sense of urgency, and meeting tight timelines.
Self-motivated, problem-solver that operates with a high-level of accuracy and is detail oriented but can also understand big picture concepts.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Capable of effectively manipulating and organizing large amounts of data.
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management is strongly preferred.
Strong communicator with an ability to interact with various levels of the organization.
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PPT, Word) is a must.
Six-Sigma certification is a plus.
