Naval Architect Engineer

Washington, DC, United States

Overview

VTG is seeking a Naval Architect Engineer.

What will you do?

Provide analysis on ship hulls and superstructures, study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed, lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes, evaluate how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea, and change designs as needed to make sure national and international standards are met.

Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Or Master's degree in naval architecture or marine engineering

Professional Engineer License

5 years relevant professional experience

DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)

Experience in surface combatant ships

Secret Clearance

Contingent upon contract award

Military Friendly
