I am currently partnered with an exciting global rare disease focused Biotech looking for a Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development.
This person will be reporting directly into a very experienced executive medical director, clinical development, working closely with the translational and scientific leads to develop the current phase 2 and 3 trials.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute phase 1 to 3 protocols for current clinical programs and other pipeline molecules.
Engage with KOL's and investigators in advisory boards or clinical studies.
Efficiently collaborates with global cross-functional team members
Collaborates with study team(s) to generate meaningful data outputs and interpretations of data
Mentors more junior medical directors and clinical scientists across the infectious disease clinical development team and delegates as appropriate
Contributes to cross-functional initiatives within infectious disease or clinical development initiatives in the company,
Actively participates in study/site start-up activities along with Medical Monitoring and data cleaning, aside from providing general clinical support to current clinical trial study team(s) in site trainings and engagements.
Requirements:
MD
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Rare disease (metabolic preferred) clinical development (can be combination of academic and industry experience, but minimum of 3 years in industry).
Clinical experience in academic or community setting
Experience with design and implementation of phase 1-3 clinical study preferred but not required.
Experience with design and execution of registrational-intent studies strongly preferred.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally
