A Manufacturing Technician job is available with our client in San Jose, CA. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and modifying aircraft mechanical assemblies by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of installation of wire harness supporting an Aerospace and/or automotive industry.
Multiple Shifts Available:
4x10 Mon - Thurs 1st shift (expected hours 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
4x10 Mon - Thurs 2nd shift (expected hours 4:30 p.m - 3 a.m.)
3x12 Fri - Sun 1st shift (expected hours 6 a.m. 6:00 p.m.)
3x12 Fri - Sun 2nd shift (expected hours 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.)
Manufacturing Technician Job Duties:
* Assemble, install, inspect, troubleshoot, and modify aircraft mechanical assemblies by interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, written and verbal assembly instructions, and test procedures from component level to full aircraft build.
* Basic knowledge of wire harness fabrication and installation techniques.
* Complete continuity checks, operational checks / verification and troubleshooting of
various systems.
* Exposed to hazardous materials
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Utilizing various pneumatic and power tools
Manufacturing Technician Job Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED
* 3+ years of installation of wire harness supporting an Aerospace and/or automotive industry.
* Must have hands on experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling
including torque wrenches, crimping and striping tools.
* Understanding of aircraft safety, tool control, FOD, and industry standards.
* Experience working in a product development environment.
* Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite.
* Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to
changing priorities.
* Must be able to pass a vision acuity test.
* Must be able to handle 35 lbs.
