**The primary purpose of our Branch Manager is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our vision, "To be the members' trusted financial partner".**
**As a Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the branch provides exceptional service to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Service Promise. A key component of this service is ensuring all team members identify the financial needs of the members and recommend appropriate products and services. In this role, you are responsible for developing a positive working environment for the branchs Member Specialists, which would include training and developing staff to be able to effectively meet or exceed their goals. Additionally, you would represent Great Lakes Credit Union within the community to enhance and expand the brand awareness.**
**As a Branch Manager your duties will:**
* Direct the operations and sales of the branch, and support and promote a sales and service driven culture.
* Train and develop all branch team members to ensure everyone achieves individual, branch, and Credit Union goals.
* Tactfully resolve member complaints. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in interpreting policies and procedures, making exceptions as required.
* Ensure all the branch operations are following the companys policies and procedures, including following all security and balancing measures for all cash and negotiable instruments.
* Active participant in community activities, including Chamber of Commerce and other local community organizations.
* Step in and assist with duties of a Member Specialist, as required.
Requirements
**Requirements needed to be part of this team:**
3 to 5 years of previous lending experience with a proven performance record.
A 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study or training.
Proven leadership skills.
Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.
A passion for helping and supporting others.
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient with computer applications and systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to multi-task and handle sensitive financial information.
