Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Electrical Technical Data Analyst to work on an 3-6-month contract in Tulsa, OK
A well-qualified candidate would be familiar with electrical symbology, nomenclature and methods of representation on engineering drawings. They will work CLOSELY supporting an Electrical Engineer on our Reliability team.
This role will be using a LOT of EXCEL. The individual will be extracting equipment information from drawings and loading this information into spreadsheets. Their knowledge and accuracy will be critical to the successful completion of this project. For exceptional individuals this role may be extended to encompass the creation/alterations of related drawings.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Conducts simple to complex design assignments for the Engineering Department and functions as a technical specialist interpreting engineering concepts into CAD drawings.
Read and understand Engineering Drawings and their discipline-based symbology (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil etc.) and be able to produce documentation/data associated to the drawings as required to be used in other engineering systems (BOMs, SAP, Document Control).
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops Engineering Drawings and associated documents and Data.
• Reviews their own work and the work of others in the group for adherence to
established Standards and Procedures.
• Plans work in accordance with established schedules and deadlines.
• Reports progress/issues to leadership in a timely manner
• Attends team and safety meetings
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience in electrical, instrumentation & controls and Power.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to manage workload is essential.
- Established proficiency with both AutoCAD and EXCEL.
- Working knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts and ability to apply this knowledge analytically.
- Ability to stay abreast of new technology developments and processes is essential.
- Technical expert in area of specialty.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
- Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- ADVANCED knowledge of Microsoft products (EXCEL) and experience with engineering software (AutoCAD) is preferred.
- Understanding of VBA for use in Excel is a definite plus.
