United States Army Futures Command Security Specialist Austin , Texas Apply Now Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Security and Protection Division, Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DoIS), United States Army Futures Command (AFC). Responsibilities Manages and conducts oversight of all aspects of PERSEC to include management of the credible derogatory reporting program, the security clearance process, and oversight of all major subordinate command (MSC) PERSEC programs. Serves as a Security Specialist in the Security and Protection Division, Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DoIS), working on policy matters and procedures concerning Personnel Security (PERSEC) and Industrial Security. Develops and assess security requirements to protect controlled technical information (CTI) in support of research technology protection efforts. Provides policy guidance and oversight to AFC HQ and Direct Reporting Units. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Program Security Security Security Program Management Technical Competence Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI). This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13.
