Mental Health Therapist

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 Per Year DOE

Full-Time, On-site

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic adolescent mental health therapist that wants to make a difference and be part of an amazing and growing team located in San Martin, CA, just outside of San Jose.

About us

Join us at Embark at our Short-term Residential Treatment Program in San Martin, where therapists offer guidance and support to adolescents and their families that include multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify change.

Serving teen girls and boys (gender fluid) ages 12 17, experiencing and struggling with school refusal, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation and other mental health issues. Pre-teens and teens reside at our Residential Treatment Center in our comfortable family-style residence, where community and interpersonal relationships are fostered and encouraged.

At Embark Behavioral Health, therapists will be advocating for client and family care through strong assessments and treatment planning, ongoing progress monitoring with detailed case management, community-based support, and robust aftercare planning.

Comprehensive Mastery Program:

Completing phase 1 - you will receive $4k by end of year one.

Completing phase 2 - you will receive $4k by end of year two.

Completing phase 3 - you will received $5k by end of year three.

CEU of $1500.

License Renewal.

Responsibilities: Managing a caseload size of six (6) clients; we believe allows for you to build good rapport with clients and families for effective treatment and outcome results

Provide individual, family and group therapy

Parent coaching

Case management and team management

Crisis management/ de-escalation

Treatment planning

Utilize assessment tools

Utilization review

Documentation in our electronic medical record

Qualifications:

Required:

CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD) OR Registered with the CA board as an Associate, and in process of obtaining clinical hours toward licensure in the given field

Desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.

Desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy

Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.

Ability to pass a state background check

Preferred:

Two (2) years of working experience as a therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions

One year of experience working in a high acuity setting (intensive out-patient, residential, psychiatric hospital, eating disorder clinic, substance abuse clinic, etc., using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities

For associate therapists (prefer 1000 hours completed), but not required
