Yield Engineering Project Manager 4
Job Purpose:
This role will spearhead the yield improvement of the facility that makes some of the most complex and mission critical PCBs solutions on the planet. The Yield Engineering Project Manager will report to theplantQuality managerand will be responsible for building a team of product yield engineers as well as identifying and implementing new initiatives to help improve production yields. We are seeking a yield engineering project manager who is experienced, creative problem solver, and visionary about the deployment of new technologies for building end to end PCBs yield monitoring and improvement systems
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Create a team of yield engineers who are responsible for investigating the root cause of low yields and implementing the corrective actions.
Assess the effectivity and efficiency of existing low yield analysis process and procedures and initiate improvements accordingly
Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to improve the effectiveness of existing in-line yield monitors or implement new ones to help mitigate the end of line yield fallout
Work with all departments to create a holistic yield improvement strategy
Leads the organization in aggressively eliminating systematic yield detractors using the 8D methodology. Supports continuous improvement activities using DMAIC or similar methods.
Be the focal person for best practice sharing with sister PCB sites.
Education and Experience:
BS or MS degree in anengineeringdiscipline, preferably Chemical, Mechanical or MaterialsEngineering.
A minimum of 8years working experience in a related role.
A minimum of 5 years managing technical teams
Strong data analysis skills using tools such as JMP, Minitab, Excel
Experienced in statistical data analysis and Design of Experiments
Proven track record in solving problems using 8D and continuous improvement via DMAIC.
Good analytical skills on top of good written and oral communication skills.
A go getter capable of resolving technical, communication or other barriers that slow down the yield improvement progress
Salary Range(annual): $98,000.00 - $150,000.00
