The Company, a leading environmental law and policy organization, is seeking a Vice President of Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be a strategic executive leader responsible for driving efforts to raise the funds that support the Institute's goals and objectives. This role is pivotal in the implementation of the organization's vision and newly created strategic plan, which focuses on structural and systemic issues, advancing equity, and adjusting the revenue model to ensure long-term sustainability. The Vice President of Development will be tasked with strategy and leadership in resource development, with a strong emphasis on individual giving programs, including major, principal, and planned giving. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the development field, a proven track record in achieving robust development goals, and the ability to establish and execute strategic plans are essential. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for making a positive impact on the world and will be adept at building and managing effective teams, as well as conveying clear, compelling messaging.Applicants for the Vice President of Development role at the company must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the development field, with a proven track record of success. The position requires a strategic leader with a deep background in individual giving programs and the ability to drive and grow such initiatives. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work with discretion and integrity. While not required, a Bachelor's degree and experience in the climate, environmental, and/or conservation fields are preferred.
