Job Overview: The HR Operations Manager position, based in the DC/Baltimore area, is a pivotal role within our organization, focusing on supporting the rapid growth phase, including the acquisition of new dealerships. This individual will be responsible for expanding and streamlining the HR department to efficiently manage our expanding operations across several vehicle brands in the greater VA/DC area, extending from Richmond, VA to southern PA.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and revise HR policies and procedures to support the organization's growth and ensure compliance with legal standards. Oversee HR and payroll staff at various dealership locations, providing guidance on payroll processing and basic benefits inquiries. Act as a strategic HR partner to the management team during the acquisition and integration of new dealerships. Lead HR projects, including the implementation of HR systems and processes across new and existing locations. Coordinate with the accounting function to ensure smooth operations of payroll and benefits administration. Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, ensuring professional development and high performance. Handle complex HR issues, mediating disputes and directing grievance procedures to ensure effective resolution. Requirements Include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably within the automotive or related industry, with experience in managing HR operations during periods of organizational growth.
Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficient in HRIS systems.
Certifications: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR practices and legal regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
Key Competencies: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, team management, and a high level of confidentiality.
