Apex Systems is seeking an Engineering Manager to work in a Contract-To-Hire role. The role is remote to start, but will require an onsite presence once the client goes back to working in the office. Candidates must be local to, or open to relocating to Miami, FL. This is an exciting position with an enterprise-level Cruise Line client.

The client is open to sponsoring candidates, and C2C placement during the contract portion of employment is feasible, but candidates MUST be able to convert to the end client's W2 after 6 months. If you are a vendor marketing your consultant's profile, please note you MUST be open to releasing this resource after 6 months.

Job Description

• Supervise Engineering Deliverables
• Plan strategies for the development to deliver product features in timely and cost-effective manner
• Analyze, propose and manage budgets, technologies and resources for projects
• Communicate and collaborate with other managers, stakeholders and contractors
• Prioritize, delegate and supervise all engineers activities and deliverables
• Manage, support, and evaluate engineers performance
• Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities
• Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed
• Work with Product teams and collaborate on Product Roadmaps
• Manage IT Roadmap
• Supervise training and development of software engineering staff

Experience Needed

• 10+ years of experience in Software Development
• 7+ years of experience in .net technology stack
• 2+ years of leadership experience in role of Software Engineering Manager / Software Development Manager
• 2+ years of experience in Distributed applications
• Experience in working with Mobile App developers is preferred
• Experience mentoring/coaching Engineering teams
• Experience in working with Agile/Scrum team
• Good experience in leading multiple engineering teams
• Good understanding of network and infrastructure fundamentals
• Good experience working in cross functional teams
• Experience with PAAS is preferred
• Experience of working with Full Stack Engineering teams is preferred
• Experience is developing web applications using Asp.net/angular/nodeJS is preferred
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent Communication and analytical Skills
• Experience in delivering consumer facing products
