Position Summary:

The right candidate for the Marketing Director role will have experience creating brand awareness, driving a sales pipeline, and supporting internal departments. This person should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. They will lead a small marketing team and report directly to the US President, with influence from International Marketing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Marketing

Plan and execute all digital marketing through Inbound and StoryBrand best practices.

Manage and direct GEM's social media presence.

Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend, and based on the insights

Visual Media: Oversee and produce quality visual content for the web, social, and external events.

Website management

Oversee the improvements of the US Website

Track and analyze data web analytics and adjust the sales funnel strategies quarterly.

Manage SEO and AdWords strategies

Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

Oversee external US email strategy & campaigns.

Increase brand awareness throughout the US through partnerships, campaigns, and PR efforts.

Engage regularly with the International Marketing team to collaborate on global initiatives.

Work within the global branding guidelines

Departmental Support

Support the various US departments, including Advancement, Mobilization, Church Engagement, and People and Culture.

Ideate and oversee campaigns to drive engagement

Support with collateral, event marketing, and direct mail efforts

Communications & Missionary Support

Oversee internal US Communications to the US office and the field.

Oversee the support of US-sent missionaries through collateral development and continuing education efforts.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will oversee the Marketing Coordinator and additional interns seasonally.

Work Environment

This job operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. This position occasionally requires lifting office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position, with days and hours of work flexible.

Travel

This position requires up to 10% travel.

Education and Experience

BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field

Proven working experience in marketing

Demonstrable experience and working knowledge of using Hubspot

Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels

Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns or similar

Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

Working knowledge of social media scheduling and analytics platforms

Strong communication skills and ability to present findings and strategies in team briefings.
