We have been able to do this because we have a strong company culture that promotes inclusion and respect for the dignity of all people. We are looking for a Data Engineer who shares our commitment to people.

With over fifty years of manufacturing experience, Ready Foods is a mature, stable, and well-run business. While we are excellent at what we do, we nevertheless continually strive for perfection. Ready Foods has embraced lean manufacturing as our operating philosophy. We take inspiration from the Toyota Production System and the principles first elucidated by Shigeo Shingo and Taiichi Ohno.

Our new Data Engineer will play a key role in delivering Ready Foods’ vision of building a best-in-class Data and Decision Intelligence (DDI) ecosystem. This role will support the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations, translating technical requirements from our factories into targeted solutions that fit into Ready Foods’ broader data framework, roadmap, and architecture. This role will be responsible for supporting the extract, transform, and load processes of our IIoT and enterprise data. The ideal candidate would not only have a passion for data and software development but also a deep appreciation for manufacturing and engineering principles. This position will report to the Chief Information Officer.

Responsibilities:

Integration of factory data and ERP data into on-premises and cloud-based IoT tools to support the collection, analysis, and reliable consumption of real time data.

Design, implement, and operationalize data pipelines to support the data lifecycle for our factory IIoT data.

Design, develop, and deliver the platforms and tools needed for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of factory IIoT data.

Support the development and delivery of a Unified Data Model for our factories and the enterprise.

Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing and business stakeholders to ensure data validity and platform buy-in.

Support delivery of a master data solution for IIoT and enterprise data.

Design and deliver solutions to support real-time factory data streaming, events & condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance.

Structuring data sets for predictive models, cleaning data, and feeding it through ML models.

Working closely with 3rd party data architects and internal data team to develop deep understanding of our data ecosystem and communicate with business unit partners.

Provide training and support the technical development of fellow team members.
