Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Field Service Engineer located oiut of our Montgomeryville, PA location. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing roller compaction, granulation, and size reduction equipment throughout North and South America. They will also provide technical support and troubleshooting for process, electrical, and mechanical issues.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Technical Support: Travel to customer sites to install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Alexanderwerk machinery. Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues, and provide timely and effective solutions.
Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and concerns. Ensure excellent customer satisfaction by delivering professional and efficient service.
Training and Documentation: Train customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and safety procedures of our machinery. Create detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation of service activities.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to address technical inquiries, product improvements, and customer feedback. Share your expertise to help improve our products and services continually.
Remote Support: Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers when required, leveraging your strong technical background and communication skills.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in our products, industry trends, and technical knowledge to enhance your skills and improve customer support.
Qualifications
Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Food, or Chemical industries is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred
Multilingual
Proficiency in Spanish or German or other languages would be a plus.
