JOB DESCRIPTION
The Architectural Designer assists the design team in all aspects of the design process.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. ARCHITECTURE
-Assists the design team in all aspects of the design process.
-Assists the design team to develop massing, feasibility, and programming studies during predevelopment and conceptual design.
-Assists the design team to design and develop all construction documents to obtain variances, zoning permits, building permits etc.
-Assists the design team to identify and select all building materials and specifications.
-Assists the design team to create presale/prelease marketing materials such as renderings and plans.
-Assists the design team to coordinate with all consultants such as structural, MEP, civil, geotech, etc.
-Assists the design team to manage change orders, material approvals, shop drawings, punchlists, etc.
2. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
-Assist the design and development teams to facilitate pre-construction planning to include general contractor bidding, construction budget, construction timeline.
-Assist the design and development teams to coordinated with general contractor, hold regular progress meetings, generate site progress reports, site inspections, quality control, conflict resolution, site safety, etc.
3. NETWORKING EVENTS
-Attend networking events to cultivate business relations
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. EDUCATION
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
2. EXPERIENCE
2-4 years of professional experience working in a residential architecture firm.
3. REQUIRED SKILLS & TRAITS
-Proficient in Revit.
-Proficient in Rendering, experience in Lumion is preferred.
-Excellent design, project management, and organizational skills.
-Adaptable and highly flexible in the scope of the role and tactics associated with the role. Able to learn new software and skillsets if needed.
-Strong interest in environmental and social sustainability.
-Demonstrated commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce and work environment.
