Main Responsibilities
Take charge of projects concerning power distribution and transmission, involving a spectrum of voltage systems and equipment such as switchgear and transformers.
Oversee internal and external engineering resources to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
Collaborate closely with project management to ensure seamless integration of designs into project timelines.
Lead the electrical design process, create material specifications, evaluate vendor submissions, conduct electrical studies, and supervise drafting personnel.
Apply extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles to make informed decisions on project tasks.
Provide training and engineering support across various departments.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of substation components, control systems, and site layout.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferrable
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in designing high voltage transmission lines.
Proficiency in power system software tools such as PLS, PLS-CADD, and PLS-POLE is necessary.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to collaborate within a team and adept problem-solving abilities.
