Heritage Oaks Hospital is currently looking for a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Nursing Team! The CNA provides direct care and support to patients under the supervision of the registered nurse. This includes assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as well as taking vital signs and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff. The CNA is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, following established protocols for infection control and patient safety. The CNA fills a crucial role in providing emotional support to patients and their families during their hospital stay, fostering a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Perform basic patient interventions including measuring vital signs, observing skin condition, and monitoring intake and output to report any changes to the nursing staff.

Provide instruction on the use of medical equipment and assistive devices, ensuring patients understand their purpose and operation.

Collaborate with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Education : Graduate from an accredited certified nursing assistant program.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting. Additional psychiatric experience and/or bedside patient care experience preferred.

Licensure: None

Additional Requirements: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation / Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) certification upon hire and successful completion of Verbal De-escalation training along with Handle with Care (HWC) training (provided in-house during orientation).
