The Senior Network Architect will be responsible for the network design, implementation, and maintenance for Herschend Enterprises and associated properties reporting directly to the Director of IT Infrastructure.
This position is responsible for the successful resolution of complex network support issues, interfacing with internal customers and external vendors to provide specific network related technical support.This position is a key contributor in the delivery of complex projects related to the networking business requirements of the company.
This role will be hands-on, requiring a high level of technical network expertise and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment where many projects are worked in parallel with similar priority.The candidate will design, build, and maintain complex architecture of network systems and devices across multiple properties.As the Senior Network Architect, you will have the opportunity to manage and supervise a small team of Corporate Network Engineers along with providing direction to property network teams.The scope includes, but is not limited to, infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, wireless controllers and access points, IP Voice technologies, carrier and service provider delivery technologies.
Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a small team of Network Engineers
Review and adjust accordingly team member's plans and configuration scripts, with extreme accuracy
Assess the future and current needs and delegate out tasks to team members and follow up/review for completeness
Discover, assess, design, and implement as it relates to network initiatives
Perform diagnostic analysis of the network system, identify possible faulty devices, troubleshoot network problems and outages and prepare necessary documentation detailing actions taken
Ensure all network devices are monitored with necessary services along with configurations backed up
Lead responsibility for networking projects
Participates in new technology or solutions meetings with stakeholders
Participate in on-call rotation; available evenings, weekends and holidays
Experience
Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Required Certifications: CCIE, Azure
10+ years working experience with Cisco IOS devices including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
2+ years working as Senior Network Engineer and Team Lead.
Working experience in monitoring and troubleshooting within a large enterprise and large-scale LAN/WAN environments including routers, switches, VMWare, and load balancers.
Expert level knowledge and experience in various network technologies, services, and protocols that are typical of a large enterprise network including VPC, BGP, MPLS, VRF, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, and QoS.
Experience with Wireless Control Systems and Access Point technologies.
Strong understanding of change control methodologies and experience implementing and modifying change processes and procedures as necessary.
Hands on experience and expert knowledge of Nexus VPC and layer 2 technologies.
Experience installing/cabling network equipment in a data center.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, challenging, and changing environment all while paying close attention to details.
Must be able to design, configure, and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols including BGP/OSPF/EIGRP/MPLS/VPLS.
Design and implement complex failover mechanisms.
Expert level troubleshooting skills working in highly complex environments.
Must be able to configure and troubleshoot ACL's/Route maps/prefix lists.
Must be able to document network designs and as-builts thoroughly using Microsoft Visio.
Comfortable and knowledgeable with DNS
Experience in Microsoft 365 / Office 365
Expert knowledge of Azure Networking with hands on experience
Knowledgeable about Network Access Control solutions and products, hands on experience is a plus
Experience with Cisco DNA and Cisco ISE
Proficiency in as many of the following technologies as possible:
Meraki Switches/AP's, Cisco Nexus 9k and Catalyst switches
