Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team and provide expertise in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality HVAC services to our clients. As an HVAC Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, efficiency, and functionality of HVAC systems in various commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and associated components.
Collaborate with other commercial HVAC professionals, technicians, engineers, and contractors to coordinate and execute installation and maintenance activities.
Inspect commercial HVAC systems to diagnose issues, identify problems, and recommend solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components to ensure optimal system operation and prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC system malfunctions, such as electrical and mechanical failures, refrigerant leaks, and air flow issues.
Test and calibrate commercial HVAC controls, thermostats, and sensors to ensure accurate temperature and humidity regulation.
Conduct energy efficiency assessments and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reduce energy consumption.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repairs or services, and offering recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices at all times.
Document work performed, materials used, and hours worked for accurate record-keeping and reporting to supervisors and project managers.
Stay current with industry trends, advancements in commercial HVAC technology, and changes in regulations and standards.
Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and less experienced technicians to foster skill development and knowledge growth.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited HVAC apprenticeship program or vocational training is preferred.
5+ Years Verified experience as an HVAC Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, including refrigeration cycles, air distribution, and thermal control.
Familiarity with a variety of HVAC equipment and systems, including split systems, packaged units, heat pumps, and more.
Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and rectify HVAC system issues effectively.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and contractors.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
