Sr. Production Design Manager

Minimum 3 years of design & digital marketing experience, particularly in graphic design, motion graphics, and/or illustration
Proficiency in the Adobe Suite, particularly After Effects
Experience managing and training other designers, especially freelancers
Must be able to delegate & manage tasks across multiple designers & projects simultaneously
Experience sharing & presenting work
Must have an editor’s eye, with keen attention to detail and aesthetics
Work with multiple teams to execute across both clients’ and internal design needs
Ensure all projects are completed within time constraints, and that the team can turn around designs quickly and with agility
Own the design process and manage the workloads of freelancers
Works autonomously with little need for direction
Adept at problem-solving as issues arise, finding both short and long term solutions
Can transform basic direction into complex ideas
Adept at working in abstract ideas
Excels at working with and presenting to clients
Highly flexible and agile to changing needs, directions, & rapidly changing workloads
Innovation & experimentation minded

Can execute at near-agency/hi-fidelity level when required
Responsibilities This is production-based design role with an emphasis on managing the execution of a high volume of work
This workload requires the execution of repetitive designs at a rapid pace
This role will be supported by a pool freelancers to help execute the work, so you will need to have experience delegating the right tasks to the right people, and managing multiple designers to ensure that projects are rendered and delivered quickly, reliably, and with consistent aesthetics
Production Design Manager will not be required to present to clients, presence in project discussions is sometimes needed, so this person must be comfortable speaking to clients, explaining their work, and defending their strategies
This role works across multiple work streams, collaborating closely with the Accounts, Client Success, Product, and Marketing teams
This role will report to the Director of Operations
There is considerable growth available to this role, with the ability to build a team around this person in due time
Manages workload with organization and efficiency
Can crank out a high volume of repetitive work in rapid fashion
Adds actionable and useful creative feedback to teammates for stronger overall output
