Job Summary
The role of the Express Cargo Agent is a physically demanding position, requiring regular and continuous lifting up to 30 lbs. Individuals who want to thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy physical work will be successful with our Warehouse Team. Express Cargo Agents perform a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving and processing inbound and outbound airfreight.
The expected pay rate is $18/hr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
Your activities
Facilitate loading and unloading of trucks and move freight and containers throughout the cargo warehouse
Manually sort/transfer packages/boxes into and out of containers for aircraft and trucks with urgency
Ensure all cargo is scanned for tracking where appropriate.
Make sure label related to the cargo is correct
Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
Roll loaded containers to staging positions
May operate pallet jacks or move package carts
Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
Your profile High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Valid photo ID
Ability to pass all required background checks
Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work flexible working hours
Ability to work in inclement weather when applicable
