Our client is a leading asset management firm located in Boston is looking to hire a Manager of Fund Administration.
Position Overview: The Fund Administration Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the administration and operations for 10+ internal funds. Reporting to the Head of Reporting, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate administration of a diverse range of investment products. The Fund Administration Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and regulatory authorities to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Administration:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the fund administration function, including NAV calculations, trade processing, corporate actions, and reconciliations.
Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of fund transactions and reporting.
Monitor fund expenses and fees, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and fee schedules.
Oversee the distribution of fund financial statements, reports, and other investor communications.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Prepare regulatory filings and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities as necessary.
Implement and maintain robust controls and procedures to mitigate operational risks and ensure the integrity of fund operations.
Client Servicing:
Serve as a primary point of contact for fund investors, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional client service.
Coordinate investor onboarding and account maintenance processes, collaborating with investor relations and client servicing teams as needed.
Facilitate the resolution of investor complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of fund administration professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional development and career growth.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team effectiveness and individual performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fund administration, asset management, or financial services, with a strong understanding of investment products and fund structures.
Proven track record of leadership and management in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Comprehensive knowledge of fund accounting principles, NAV calculation methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, AIFMD, UCITS).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in fund administration software and Microsoft Office applications.
