Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Tech Lead Cyber Security Engineer
LOCATION: 2702 Love Field Drive, Dallas, TX 75235 + Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
DUTIES: Delivers cybersecurity solutions that protect Southwest Airlines; works in a focused group adhering to agile principles; creates solutions for issues that arise in AWS and utilizes a maturing common platform; provides security guidance to application and partner teams to remediate security vulnerabilities, risk items, and policy exceptions; delivers training for clients in use of the key cybersecurity systems and automated environments; identifies cybersecurity problems, plans solutions, recommends software and systems, and coordinates developments in an orderly manner to meet business requirements; acts as an agent for change to reflect the latest cybersecurity standards and practices; serves as an enterprise subject matter expert (SME) and advocate of its security standards and reference architectures; mentors both co-hearts on responding to production program issues and coaches on resolutions in cybersecurity and partner teams; leads testing and implements system enhancements using techniques that preserve system integrity and drives a results-oriented environment; develops, tests and operates end-to-end software solutions using machine learning, related optimization, and knowledge systems; ensures that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated; and develops and executes against solution strategies and business plans that support business expansion.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Tech Lead Cybersecurity, Tech Lead IAM, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include:
• SAML, OIDC, and OAUTH;
• Multi-factor authentication factors and implementation;
• SSO (single sign on);
• Federated Identity concepts; and
• General cybersecurity concepts.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, employer will accept 7 years of full time work experience in the job offered or as a Tech Lead Cybersecurity, Tech Lead IAM or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include:
• SAML, OIDC, and OAUTH;
• Multi-factor authentication factors and implementation;
• SSO (single sign on);
• Federated Identity concepts; and
• General cybersecurity concepts.
Hybrid role, may work from home.
