**Job Description:**
We are seeking a versatile and motivated Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a subset of the following skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in other areas. This role involves collaborating with team members to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring comprehensive testing, and providing support in ticket creation and documentation.
This position requires the employee to work onsite at a classified Government facility on Port San Antonio three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications.
+ Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions
+ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.
+ Create and manage tickets in Jira and assist other team members in their ticket creation.
+ Document processes and projects in Confluence.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Must possess an active Secret clearance
+ Must have a Bachelor's Degree OR have an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
+ Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL
+ Knowledge of database design principals and normalization
+ Experience with database optimization of medium sized (10+million records) databases
+ Experience with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) pipelines
+ Experience with Amazon RDS
+ Proficiency in ticket creation and management using Jira
+ Ability to create and maintain documentation in Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
+ Experience with agile development methodologies
+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
+ Familiarity with Git, Docker, ORMs, RESTful APIs, Java, JDBC, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate, Junit
