OPPORTUNITY : Report to Tax Director and interface with the CFO, accounting, legal counsel, external tax and legal advisors. Responsibilities are as follows:
Lead tax compliance (federal, multi-state and local), and tax planning regarding all aspects of taxation with particular emphasis on partnership and corporate (C-Corp, S-Corp, LLCs) taxation and includes non-profit, trusts, estates, state income, sales and use tax and individual taxation.
Evaluate all tax rulings, compliance filings, tax research, audits, and strategic planning opportunities.
Assist in administration and operation of the family office structure, including the maintenance of tax records and supporting schedules plus assist in identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
Conduct thorough reviews of tax issues and proposed legislation proactively identifying opportunities for tax planning and litigating any associated risks.
You will analyze financial, gift, estate and income tax issues for High Net Worth individuals plus assist with complex transactional planning and structuring.
Point person with the Director for any tax audits and interface with legal and tax external advisors.
Mentor, train, and lead a highly skilled staff of 3-4 tax professionals.

REQUIREMENTS : 8+ years tax experience with emphasis on partnership, trusts, and estate taxation. CPA and/or MST are preferred and pluses. Ideal is public accounting and/or combination of corporate tax heritage. Familiarity with multi-state tax issues and apportionment. Ideal is industry knowledge gained in the investment, construction, financial services, real estate, property management, entertainment or retail industries. Ready to hire. Decisive leadership team.
