Nonprofit Receptionist
Location: San Francisco, CA
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our nonprofit organization in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our visitors and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office. This position requires a friendly and organized individual who is passionate about our mission and excels in providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner. Direct them to the appropriate staff member or department.
Answer and manage incoming calls and emails, providing information or redirecting inquiries as necessary.
Maintain a daily visitor log to track incoming and outgoing visitors.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Prepare outgoing mail and shipments.
Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and conference rooms. Maintain and update the office calendar.
Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory. Place orders and manage vendor relationships.
Provide general administrative support to staff, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
Assist in the coordination and setup of meetings, workshops, and events hosted by the organization.
Ensure the reception area and common areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Support volunteer coordination efforts, including scheduling and providing necessary information and resources to volunteers.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Environment: Office setting within a nonprofit organization.
Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
